Schema Type Registry

Structured Summary: The approved schema-type assignment registry for institutional pages, posts, entities, datasets, reports, terms, hubs, and technical specifications.

Purpose

The registry prevents every page from being reduced to a generic Thing or WebPage. It records the intended primary type and the evidence or editorial rationale for that assignment.

Default Mapping

Posts use BlogPosting; hubs and system indexes use CollectionPage; datasets use Dataset; research, evidence, experiments, and observatory records use Report; frameworks, protocols, methodologies, governance, and models use TechArticle; terminology and conceptual nodes use DefinedTerm.

Entity Rule

Entity pages use Organization, Person, Brand, or another specific type only when the identity is supported by the page content or explicit metadata. Ambiguous entity pages default conservatively to DefinedTerm until reviewed.

Override Rule

An explicit post-meta type overrides path inference. Overrides must be documented and must use a valid Schema.org type.

Governance Note

This document is versioned and should be revised when production architecture, source specifications, or validation evidence changes. It does not guarantee ranking, citation, recommendation, or business outcome.
