Observatory System Index

The Observatory System is the monitoring and behavioral analytics layer of GEO.or.id. It captures, aggregates, and analyzes system-level activity across models, retrieval patterns, trust behavior, and semantic drift signals.

Unlike inference or reasoning systems, the Observatory does not modify outputs. It only observes, measures, and reports system dynamics over time.

1. Observatory System Role

The Observatory functions as a passive analytics layer across the full architecture:

System Activity → Signal Capture → Metric Construction → Behavioral Analysis → Insight Layer

It is the foundation for system evaluation, debugging, and long-term optimization.

2. Core Observatory Metrics

3. Trust & Reliability Monitoring

4. Source & Entity Behavior Tracking

5. Model-Specific Observatory Nodes

6. Metric Construction Logic

Observatory metrics are derived from aggregated system signals:

Raw Events → Signal Extraction → Temporal Aggregation → Metric Formation → Trend Analysis

Signals originate from: Signals System

7. Observability Scope

The Observatory monitors the following system layers:

  • Retrieval System behavior
  • Evidence construction patterns
  • Ontology consistency drift
  • Reasoning stability
  • Trust score fluctuations

8. System Integration Points

9. System Principle

  • Observatory does not influence outputs
  • All metrics are derived, not assumed
  • System behavior is more important than single outputs
  • Drift is measured over time, not snapshots
  • All observations must be traceable to signals
