Relationship Predicate Registry

Structured Summary: The approved predicate and inverse-predicate vocabulary for structural, evidentiary, methodological, and semantic relationships.

Core Predicates

isPartOf and hasPart; defines and definedBy; implements and implementedBy; measures and measuredBy; tests and testedBy; observes and observedAt; supports and supportedBy; cites and citedBy; extends and extendedBy; secures and securedBy; relatedTo.

Reciprocal Rule

Structural predicates require an inverse edge. relatedTo is symmetric. Citation and evidence predicates preserve their directional meaning.

Schema Mapping

Where Schema.org has a valid property, the runtime uses it. Unmapped internal predicates remain in the registry and are represented conservatively as mentions rather than invented Schema.org properties.

Validation

Every target must resolve to an existing internal object or an explicitly allowed external source. Broken internal targets fail validation.

Governance Note

This document is versioned and should be revised when production architecture, source specifications, or validation evidence changes. It does not guarantee ranking, citation, recommendation, or business outcome.
