Punya FAQ?

Pasang FAQPage.

Ada tiga pertanyaan di bawah artikel?

Pasang.

Service page?

Pasang.

Product page?

Pasang.

About page?

Jadi kalau pertanyaannya:

“Apakah FAQ schema masih layak dipasang di semua halaman hanya untuk mengejar Google rich result?”

Jawabannya:

Tidak.

Itu sudah bukan strategi yang masuk akal.

Tetapi kalau pertanyaannya:

“Apakah FAQ content masih berguna?”

Jawabannya bisa sangat berbeda.

FAQ tetap bisa membantu manusia.

FAQ bisa memperjelas pricing.

Scope.

Eligibility.

Process.

Risiko.

Return policy.

Jam layanan.

Batas service.

FAQ content dan FAQ structured data perlu dipisahkan.

Kesalahan terbesar justru menyamakan keduanya.

FAQ Content Tidak Mati

Bayangkan user masuk ke halaman jasa AI visibility audit.

Dia sudah membaca hero.

Sudah lihat deliverables.

Sudah paham metode.

Masih ada pertanyaan praktis:

Berapa lama audit?

Platform apa yang dicek?

Apakah hasilnya guarantee citation?

Apakah perlu akses Search Console?

Apakah data client disimpan?

Boleh repeat test?

FAQ section sangat masuk akal.

Google FAQ Rich Result Sekarang Sangat Terbatas

Tetapi benefit case-nya berubah.

Dulu:
Search feature.

Sekarang:

Bukan default universal.

“Kalau Tidak Tampil, Kenapa Tidak Hapus Semua?”

Karena decision harus melihat cost.

Jika FAQPage markup sudah:

Benar.

Sinkron dengan visible FAQ.

Tidak menghasilkan duplicate schema.

Tidak menambah maintenance burden.

Tidak misleading.

Mungkin tidak ada urgency menghapus.

Tapi kalau implementation:

Membuat FAQ dari semua heading otomatis.

Menghasilkan pertanyaan tersembunyi.

Duplicate dengan plugin.

Tidak pernah di-update.

Menambah schema noise.

Maka benefit kecil tidak membenarkan complexity.

Cleanup bisa masuk akal.

Governance harus bertanya:

Apa consumer yang kita target?

Apa operational value?

Apa maintenance cost?

Kalau jawabannya hanya:

“Dulu SEO bilang wajib,”

itu bukan reason 2026.

FAQPage Bukan Schema untuk Semua Q&A

Tetapi bahkan sebelum memilih type, jangan lupa pertanyaan pertama:

“Kenapa GEO penting?”

“Mengapa AI berubah?”

“Apa selanjutnya?”

Itu bisa sekadar editorial structure.

Tidak semua tanda tanya adalah FAQ.

FAQ harus punya function.

Repeated user questions.

Practical clarification.

Decision support.

Support.

Eligibility.

Troubleshooting.

Kalau cuma gaya headline, jangan dipaksa jadi structured Q&A.

Visible Content Rule Tetap Berlaku

Google general structured-data guidelines tetap meminta markup merepresentasikan content yang terlihat.

Jadi kalau JSON-LD punya:

10 Questions.

Page cuma menampilkan 3.

Tidak bagus.

Kalau markup answer bilang:

“Layanan mulai Rp5 juta.”

Best architecture:

CMS FAQ field.

Render visible.

Generate markup from same source, jika markup memang masih diperlukan.

No separate copy.

FAQ Jangan Dipasang Hanya karena AI Search

Ini versi baru dari schema cargo cult.

“FAQ disukai LLM.”

“LLM suka question-answer.”

“AI gampang chunk.”

Maybe clear Q&A content bisa memudahkan user dan beberapa retrieval tasks.

Tapi Google pada 2026 bahkan secara eksplisit mengatakan tidak ada special schema.org markup yang diperlukan untuk generative AI search.

Google juga mengatakan structured data tidak required untuk generative AI Search, walau masih baik digunakan sebagai bagian dari SEO normal untuk rich results yang didukung.

Jadi:

FAQ content bisa helpful.

FAQPage schema bukan AI Mode requirement.

Tidak ada dasar universal untuk menjanjikan:

“Tambahkan FAQ schema supaya ChatGPT cite.”

Jangan generalize.

FAQ Content Bisa Jelek kalau Dipaksakan

Article selesai.

Editor sudah menjawab topic dengan baik.

Lalu template memaksa:

FAQ 1:
Apa itu X?

FAQ 2:
Kenapa X penting?

FAQ 3:
Bagaimana X bekerja?

FAQ 4:
Apakah X bagus?

FAQ 5:
Kesimpulan X?

Ini bukan FAQ.

Ini ringkasan yang dibelah agar terlihat SEO.

Reader merasa repetitive.

Humanis quality turun.

Pada website besar, 500 artikel memakai pola sama.

AI-generated feel makin kuat.

Service.

Product.

Pricing.

Policy.

Support.

Admissions.

Government service.

Healthcare information.

High-stakes process.

Example GEO service:

“Apakah audit perlu login account?”

“Berapa model yang diuji?”

“Berapa lama observation window?”

“Apakah schema change included?”

“Apakah hasil menjamin brand direkomendasikan?”

These are real decision questions.

Blog post:
“Knowledge Graph vs Internal Link.”

Mungkin tidak perlu FAQ.

Article itself should explain.

Don't append redundant questions.

Strategic placement > sitewide default.

Ecommerce FAQ

Product page can have questions:

Compatibility.

Sizing.

Warranty.

Shipping.

Return.

Material.

If genuine and user-facing, useful.

But product-specific Q&A may also belong product data/review systems.

Do not mark community-generated answers as publisher-controlled FAQ if format is really Q&A.

And again, Google FAQ rich-result visibility for general ecommerce isn't the old benefit.

Build for customer experience.

If structured data not supporting intended feature, don't overinvest.

Government dan Health Site Masih Punya Use Case Google yang Jelas

Google's stated exception matters.

Well-known, authoritative government and health sites may still get FAQ rich results.

If you operate such a site:
FAQPage remains a Search feature consideration.

But eligibility isn't self-declared.

Putting “authoritative”: true doesn't work.

Google determines treatment.

You still need correct markup and content.

No guarantee every eligible page displays FAQ rich result.

Search presentation is Google decision.

So even in eligible categories:

Markup supports eligibility.

Not guaranteed display.

This distinction should stay.

FAQPage and Accessibility

FAQ UI often uses accordion.

If structured data perfect but accordion keyboard-broken:
bad user experience.

Accessibility needs:

Button semantics.

Expanded/collapsed state.

Keyboard access.

Focus behavior.

Readable answer.

ARIA where necessary.

Structured FAQ schema does not make accordion accessible.

This is preview of article 273, but relevant here.

Schema is search/data layer.

Accessibility is interaction layer.

Don't let “FAQ optimized” mean inaccessible content.

Operational Cost Harus Dihitung

Every FAQ adds maintenance.

Product policy changes.

Price changes.

Feature changes.

Regulation changes.

Service scope changes.

If FAQ answer is copied across 40 pages:
drift.

Better:
central source.

Maybe one canonical FAQ/policy page.

Other pages link.

Don't duplicate answer purely to generate markup.

Search benefit is limited for most sites now.

Content duplication cost can be bigger.

FAQ strategy should be driven by user need.

Not markup coverage.

Schema Audit 2026 untuk FAQ

Export pages with FAQPage.

Classify:

Government/health authoritative context.

Commercial/service.

Blog.

Product.

Support.

Then check:

Visible FAQ exists?

Questions genuine?

Answers current?

Duplicate?

Schema generated by one owner?

Google rich-result expectation still valid?

Any other known consumer?

Maintenance cost?

Then decide:

Keep.

Simplify.

Remove markup but keep FAQ content.

Remove both because redundant.

No sitewide one-size-fits-all.

Legacy FAQ Plugins Bisa Menjadi Technical Debt

WordPress plugin from 2021 might:

Inject FAQPage everywhere.

Add duplicate scripts.

Use old blocks.

Create hidden content.

Conflict with theme.

Before uninstall:
inventory.

Maybe plugin also powers visible accordion.

Separate functionality.

You might retain UI and disable schema.

Or migrate content to Gutenberg.

Don't remove and break FAQ UX.

Schema cleanup should understand system ownership.

Technical decision.

Not only Search guideline.

Measurement Jangan Mencari “FAQ Citation Rate” tanpa Design

If you want to test whether FAQ content affects AI visibility:

Create query set.

Before/after.

Keep other changes stable.

Measure answer accuracy.

Citation.

Mention.

Passage retrieval.

But understand:
FAQ content itself changed page.

Markup maybe changed.

If both deployed together, cannot isolate.

If goal is editorial usability:
user behavior/support metrics maybe more direct.

Don't manufacture causal claim.

“FAQ schema lifted AI citation 40%” needs evidence.

Most teams don't have enough.

Better say:
“FAQ content answers recurring questions; markup retained where relevant.”

Simple.

FAQ Can Become Evidence of Buyer Questions

Sales calls.

Customer support tickets.

On-site search.

Search Console queries.

Community questions.

These are inputs.

Build FAQ from reality.

This makes page human.

Example:
customer repeatedly asks “Apakah data kami dipakai untuk training?”

That is real.

Answer with policy.

Maybe link privacy/data handling.

Much more valuable than generic:

“Apa itu GEO?”

FAQ becomes product intelligence.

Not SEO appendix.

When Should You Use FAQ Schema in 2026?

Use when:

Page genuinely contains FAQ content.

Markup is semantically correct.

Visible content matches.

You have a consumer/use case.

For Google FAQ rich results:
site fits current eligible category and other requirements.

Keep when maintenance cheap and data clean.

Do not use when:

Only reason is old SEO checklist.

Page doesn't display FAQ.

Questions are artificial.

Schema duplicates.

Answers stale.

Commercial site expects old Google rich result.

You are adding it solely because someone said LLMs love FAQ schema.

This is the practical answer.

FAQ Masih Layak. FAQ Schema Tidak Lagi Layak Jadi Default Universal.

That's the distinction.

A good FAQ solves uncertainty.

A good answer can help a reader make a decision.

Structured data can describe that Q&A when there is a valid reason.

But putting FAQPage on every page in 2026 is not sophistication.

It's usually legacy behavior.

Schema strategy should respond to current platform support, page purpose, and maintenance reality.

Not nostalgia for a Search result that most sites no longer receive.
